This family session in Bulverde was more than just a photo session… it was the last chance I had to capture moments like this for them. Three days after we took these… they packed up and moved out of Texas leaving behind the place they have called home.
I met them a year ago when we moved into the neighborhood.. they were our front door neighbors. The “M” family made us feel welcomed from the beginning and we quickly noticed their incredible kindness. Their kids’ laughter filled the air always and coming home from work every day to see them wave at us always made coming home feel even better. And during last year’s snow storm, we realized how important it was to have people nearby that cared enough to check on you. It is nice to have friendly neighbors and those you can count on. And so seeing them go wasn’t easy.
Sometimes I am not good with words… in person I mean. And there were so many things I wanted to say to them on this last day. But I didn’t. I said goodbye and that was all. But what I really wanted to say was that they left a mark in our lives. They reminded us that kindness does exist, brought joy to our neighborhood, and the neighborhood felt better knowing they were there. I wanted to tell them that they would be missed. This family session in Bulverde was one that I will not forget, but most of all they will not be forgotten.
