If you’ve never heard Pink’s song “Cover Me In Sunshine”… you need to go listen to it right now. I mean it! This song truly brings brightness into our world.   You can bet that I sing it loudly every time it blasts through my car speakers.  “Cover Me In Sunshine” was written during the pandemic… when the entire world was surrounded by loss, fear and the unknown.  The words bring sunshine into our everyday as a promise that everything will be alright.  It truly is a happy song!

When I listen to “Cover Me In Sunshine,” my mind immediately wonders to our kids.  I think about all the things they have to endure, all they worry about, and the things they face on a daily basis that we never even thought about as kids.  The lyrics make me think about this girl right here… little Miss “M.”  I think about how big her heart is, how enormous her worries can be, and that soft spoken voice that I hope never disappears.   As she navigates this world… my hope is that she always finds sunshine.  I pray that she is showered in good times and that she knows that “everything will be alright” when things get a bit tough.
