I had this idea a while back to capture kids playing with their lovies…. I think the idea came from watching my son’s favorite toy, “snuggles,” get forgotten as time passed. My son who is about to turn 9…. without even noticing… has not played with snuggles in a very long time. Little by little, I noticed snuggles did not come to the kitchen table at dinner time or he was absent from my son’s hands at bedtime. Sadness grew as I realized that he was growing up… so much so that he no longer needed his lovie. Yet I felt comfort in knowing that I had captured images of both my son and his “snuggles” before this moment ever came. And that is when I decided to do these lovie & me mini sessions… so that other parents could have the images of their little ones playing with a favorite toy before it disappeared from their child’s every day life.
And so after being rescheduled twice due to rainy weather, the first round of minis took place and this just happened…
