Recently I decided to start a new personal project… one that would not only make me pick up my camera more to capture my own life story, but also one that will help me grow as a person. Every month, I will write about something that I am truly grateful for. My hope is that this gratitude journal will help me focus on what I love, what I am grateful for, and what makes me happy.
and here is entry number one…
Today, I am grateful for the many families I have had the pleasure of meeting in this photography journey of mine. When I started my photography business, it was meant to give me an outlet outside of my normal everyday life. I never imagined where it would take me or the number of people that would enter my life because of it.
Since starting my life as a photographer, I have met so many incredible families…. families that have entrusted me to capture moments that they will forever treasure. Families from San Antonio, other parts of Texas, and even some from out of state who have traveled just so that I can take their picture. And every year, I meet new families and their children, and every year the same families come back. The best compliment in the world is when a family returns for yet another photo session with me.
And so today, as I think about all that I still want to accomplish in this world, I am grateful for all those I have met and photographed over the last few years. Each and every person and each and every child that has been in front of my camera lens was meant to be in my life for a reason. And so… I know that there are many photographers out there, so many that people can choose from… and I feel blessed today to know that families have CHOSEN ME.
