The craziest thing happened… IT SNOWED in Texas… not once but twice in one week.  Y’all that never ever ever happens!  But it did… and although we wished for it… let me tell you that the magic of it all quickly disappeared when we realized our city was not prepared for it at all.

The loss of electricity and water for so many hours for many people caused so much destruction.  Our family went without power for 36 hours! It was unbelievable!  We worried we would run out of food and were unable to leave home due to the road conditions.  At times we spent time in our cars just to get warm and we found ways to salvage our food using an ice cooler and snow in the backyard. It just seemed like it would never end.

But you wouldn’t know it by looking at these images… when i look at these all i see is a beautiful wonderland.  I see a dream come true.. a reminder that anything is possible.  I am reminded that we survived something we didn’t know was possible.  And so I leave you with these images of one small moment in time…the day it snowed in  Texas.
