Last summer we found this amazing little place in Port Aransas, Texas. It caught my eye as we drove by and since then we have stayed there three times. It definitely is unlike anything else you find at the coast… it is a place where you can enjoy the little things that are important. If y’all are ever in need of some relaxation… you need to visit Camp Coyoacan. It is the best little retreat you will find in Port A.
We took a trip out there during New Years Weekend and the best part of the trip was seeing these two little guys spend time together outdoors. These two have been in each other’s lives since they were preschoolers and now at the age of 11 they are closer than ever. On this day, they put down their electronic gadgets and set out on a quest to find the cat that was seen roaming around the camp. They spent hours planning out their adventure, chasing down the cat from one tent to the other, and finally ending their day sitting high up on the deck overlooking the amazing grounds below. I, of course, took out my camera and followed them around to capture this moment… something I don’t see often back at home when they are focused on everything else but playing outdoors. However, on this wonderful New Year’s day they spent time together enjoying each other’s company doing the things that boys do… My heart was happy!
