So every year I donate a photography session to a charity to be auctioned off… and this past year, one of my sessions helped contribute to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  And so,  EVERY SINGLE YEAR… I am always a nervous wreck wondering if anyone will even bid on a portrait session with me (a bit of insecurity right there) and if they do, what is the family even like.  I can only compare it to a blind date… now I have never been on a blind date… but if I had, I would think that it would be just like this.  A bit uncomfortable and a fear of not clicking right away.

But let me tell you that when I met the “Z” family… my fears and anxiety completely went away.  They are the nicest couple and their children are just the cutest!!! I mean… just look at them!  This beautiful mommy was so worried that the little time we had would keep us from getting those perfect shots of her family, but in the end she let me know how grateful she was that I could use my “magic” to make this happen.  The best part was seeing her amazing smile as she showed off the Christmas Cards she had made with the pictures from our session.  Ya’ll my heart was so happy in that moment…

we clicked. we had fun. and we were destined to meet.
