When I first started my photography journey, I remember feeling so frustrated that my photos weren’t consistent (see below). Sometimes I’d nail the shot, and other times… not so much. I realized pretty quickly that if I wanted to create the kind of images I dreamed of, I needed to take my camera off auto and truly understand the basics of camera settings. I quickly signed up for my first photography workshop.
From that moment on, I decided to invest in my learning and took every class I could find. I also read a lot and bought a million resources to help me master my camera. If I hadn’t done that, I don’t think I would have grown in my photography journey like I did. Now I can go into any situation and know exactly how to work with my camera settings to get the results I want. Mastering your camera and knowing how everything works together helps you be more consistent with your work (see below). I am a true believer that taking a photography class or two is worth every penny.

That’s exactly why I partnered with Kristen Johnson Photography to create Elevate — a workshop designed for new and aspiring photographers or anyone who needs a refresher to level up their skills and take full control of their camera. I love to learn and I especially love to teach. I’m ready to share what I know with you! Whether you’re a mama with a camera capturing sweet everyday moments or a photographer ready to turn your passion into a business, this workshop is for you.
In *Elevate*, we’ll cover essential topics like shooting in manual mode, understanding light, and creating consistent, beautiful images. You’ll walk away feeling more confident, more creative, and ready to capture the moments that matter most.
Registration is open with limited seats available. WE be believe that the small group setting will give you the best learning environment so we are keeping it small. The workshop will take place in a hill country location not too far from San Antonio, Texas. You will have the opportunity to learn, practice what you hear, and shoot alongside both Kristen and I in two different settings. The best part… after the workshop you will get two videos showing how we edit photos from the workshop as well as an opportunity to receive one on one guidance from us.
