this definitely doesn’t resemble the first day of school pic that we typically take. Usually we are heading out the door (sometimes in a mad rush) with all the first day jitters, but this school year is like no other.

Instead, my little guy started his 10th grade year of high school in front of a computer screen…attending class from home.  He is not the only one.  So many kids in our country started school the same way today.

It is different and overwhelming…but I try to remember tho find the positive in this situation.  He may not be in a classroom with his peers, but at least he has more time at home than in a car traveling home from school.  He may not have deadlines and structures provided by his teacher, but at least he is learning to plan his day and create his own deadlines.  We can always find the positive in every single thing that comes our way.

Everyone feels what I feel… what my child feels. Everyone will one day be able to recall 2020 and say, “remember when!” Remember when the world was so different and we had to change our “typical” way of life. AND THE STORIES WE WILL ALL TELL WILL BE AMAZING!!!!  And this first day of school pic will be one that we will always remember.
