One of the most memorable times in a child’s life for mom and dad is the first birthday celebration and first birthday photos are my favorite!  There are so many different styles of photography and it is something you need to consider when booking a session to capture those first birthday moments.

If you do a google search or dig through Pinterest boards you will see so many images of babies with themed props, elaborate cake smashes, and studio shots of baby in front of a back drop.  And although I think all of those are cute ideas, it really isn’t my style.  Years ago, I decided that I had to stick to what I love the most and avoid the trends that so many love.  As much as I hate saying no to a request for those types of first birthday photos, I just have to remember that it just isn’t me.

I love the simple moments and the images that capture your one year old in their element.  I love the timeless photos of your baby that can be hung up on the wall as art for years to come.  A vintage high chair in a field, a simple tiny cake, and an outfit that is too cute not to photograph is exactly my style.
