This year’s fall family sessions reminded me that I had to just keep going.
I don’t even have to even write about how hard the year 2020 was for all of us. I don’t even want to relive the struggles and fears that we encountered as we found our way through a pandemic. And y’all know that it also caused so much hardship for small businesses as well. As a portrait photographer, 2020 meant booking less sessions and figuring out how to make it financially from one month to the next. It also meant that my regular clients weren’t booking. All I hoped for was that one day, things would somewhat go back to normal and I would see them again soon.
And this fall, it happened. Fall family sessions opened for booking and most of my families returned in 2021 . I got to photograph them again! The “M” family is one of those families that I have photographed for years and how I missed them in 2020. But on this day we reconnected again.. in time to capture another year of their lives.. after what seemed to be one of the hardest years for all of us.
I am so excited to meet even more families in the coming months.
