when my little guy was a baby… his grandmother gave him a stuffed animal; a soft white lamb that we named snuggles.  He slept with Snuggles every night and carried it around everywhere he went.  Eventually the little lamb got a bit grayish and not so soft, but my little guy still loved it so much.  Over time, Snuggles got put in a box and was left behind a lot more.  And so, at the age of 11, his favorite stuffed animal, Snuggles, is just a memory.  A memory that I luckily captured with my camera at a time of his life when he loved it so much.  that image is one of my favorites…

and so as I planned for Baby “E’s” first birthday session… his mommy and i thought the best way to remember his first year was to photograph him with all his favorite things before those things became only a memory.  He loves ducks and his favorite little brown bear… and of course he loves every kind of sports ball you can think of.  And so the minute those baseballs were placed in front of him, you can imagine how excited he was.  Over time, Baby “E” will grow up, and his favorite things may be not so favorite anymore, but at least these images will remind his mommy and daddy about all that he loved his very first year.
