After a session, the next step is to upload every single image and then go one by one and choose the very best images.  And y’all when I was going through every single image from this be merry session, I couldn’t help be just  bit emotional (not surprising since I am the most sensitive person you will ever meet). It reminded me of the years when my little guy was this little… and how much I miss those years.

But it also made me think about our life right now.  At this very moment in time, my little family is just me and my son.  And although at times I wish that it could be different for us, looking at these images reminded me that I get the time to make an incredible connection with my son and I have the chance to create an incredible life for both of us. I don’t know if our little family of 2 will always look this way, but for now I feel blessed to experience life like this.

This beautiful mommy right here.. how incredibly lucky to have this little boy in her life.  These images are a reminder of how blessed she is. They are a reminder to all of us to enjoy what we have right now… that’s all that matters.

Every year, the “P” family books a BE MERRY session.. and every year I manage to surprise mom in some new way. And this year, they booked one of my new locations and mom did an amazing job at choosing the wardrobe for all of her boys.

the session came and went, and mom left feeling unsure about the images I captured.    Just between you and me, she tends to feel that way each time at the end of our time together.  Her words are always, “hope you were able to get something?” And every year I make sure to reassure her that I did.  However, it is not until that first sneak peek posts that my words are confirmed and her worries disappear.  And EVERY YEAR… I anxiously wait for her text an this year it read…”OMG!!!!! EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. YOU ARE AMAZING! ”  Those words right there mean the world to me… and EVERY YEAR… I get to surprise her in some way.

This girl right here has been in my life since the age of 15… still remember the first time we met in our high school band hall.  She had just moved into town and was not shy about making friends.  And this friendship… one that has inspired me, motivated me and saved me on more than one occasion… has lasted more than 20 years and will continue to remain strong.  She is like a sister to me… and I love that I had the opportunity to photograph these moments of her beautiful family at a wonderful time in her life.

She is a beautiful person, a wonderful mother, the “Martha Stewart” of our group, and the most honest friend in the world.  I love who she was and who she has become.  Love you my friend.

This be merry session was even better than before… I think I say that every year.  But for real, this year the locations rocked, I met some incredible new people, and I reunited with clients I hadn’t seen in years.  It definitely was amazing this fall.

And this year, I had the chance to see the “E” family again… who by the way I had not seen since their youngest was not even 1.  And then to see these two little boys playing together… having conversations with me about their favorite things was just so incredibly fun to experience.  Have I mentioned that I love what I do?

This year’s BE Merry Sessions have opened for booking… and these are taking place at two different locations on four different days.  One of the locations has the most beautiful open field and a homestead with a beautiful white porch.  The second location I am calling “the casita”… a Spanish Style location like no other I have ever used.

So …only a few slots left after my current clients snagged more than half of these last week… if you want to be part of the BE Merry crew this year and book your own BE MERRY SESSION (AKA fall sessions)… click here to book your session.   These won’t last long…
