Back in November, I invested in a photography shoot out with one of my favorite photographers… jackie of Jackie Jean Photography. I am a huge advocate for life long learning and so whenever a learning opportunity comes my way I jump at the chance to be part of it. And this opportunity couldn’t of happened at a better time…
Going to be totally honest with y’all… last fall was filled with so many cloudy days.. AKA tough situations. And so getting away for a weekend to surround myself with other women who share the same passion as I do was more than just a creative outlet. It was also an escape from those dark clouds that had been following me for so long.
And so for a moment, I found myself behind my camera..eager to learn something new and ready to focus more on the things that make me happy. I found myself being creative and inspired and I remembered why I became a photographer. It isn’t about taking pictures for others or because I have always dreamed of owning my own photography business. I became a photographer because photography makes my heart happy…
