Making It Happen: A Special Session with Mom and Her Girls
One of the hardest things about grown-up life? Getting everyone in the same place at the same time. Between work schedules, school, travel, and just life, it can feel almost impossible to gather the whole crew—especially when the “kids” are all grown and living in different cities. That’s what made this special session with mom and her daughters so meaningful.
This beautiful mama and her girls made time for updated family photos while everyone happened to be in town—something that doesn’t happen often. But of course, Mother Nature had other plans. Rain threatened to wash away our session, and with two of the girls flying out the very next day, rescheduling just wasn’t an option.
So we pivoted. We moved quickly, picked a new location on the fly, and outran the rain—literally. And somehow, everything fell into place. The clouds held off just long enough, the light was beautiful, and the moments we captured were even better.
This special session with mom was a reminder of what family photos are really about. They’re not about perfect weather or perfect hair. They’re about freezing a moment in time—especially when those moments are rare.
If you’ve got your grown kids coming into town—even if it’s just for a weekend—make the photos happen. You’ll never regret having them. A special session with mom is a gift you’ll treasure for years to come.
