I ended 2014 with something a bit different… it all started with a tiny little shopping cart. You see… I have this tiny vintage looking shopping cart in my garage… a prop I bought a couple of years ago that I have never been able to use. It is the cutest little cart, and when I bought it I pictured a teeny tiny little one pushing it around in a grocery store… how adorable that would be. Well, that is how this idea came about…. the idea to document little “M” shopping her heart out.
Little “M” loves the grocery store… she enjoys every minute of it, and because I knew that about her, I wanted to document her doing just that. So the location was chosen (a small local grocery story) on a cold December morning, and because the store already provided those teeny tiny kid sized carts, I didn’t have to take my own. So in less than an hour, little “M” walked through each aisle along with her baby doll, picked out her favorite items (some apples and cookies), and got the attention of everyone that came her way. And I was there to photograph every single moment!!! What made it even more special was the fact that she wore the little blue dress that her mom and great aunt wore at her age… a dress that has been in the family for more than 40 years. What an amazing way to end 2014….
so I leave you with this… take time to document the simple things your children love to do right now at this moment while the SIMPLE is an adventure.
