They say that a mother’s love is like no other. And it is a love that no one quite understands until the moment they hold their precious little ones in their arms for the very first time.  It is something I felt 12 years ago when my little guy was born.  It is powerful and breathtaking and everlasting.  So I can only imagine what it must feel like when the children we have become parents too! Holding our grandchildren in our arms is like nothing else… this is something I obviously have not experienced but I see the look on my mother’s eyes when she sees my little one (who is not so little anymore).  I see how she looks at him and cares for him.  I know how much she worries and fears for him.  I imagine that a grandmother’s love has to be even more grand than the love of a mother.

Not too long ago, I was contacted by a wonderful mommy who wanted to pay tribute to her own mother… her daughters’ grandmother.  Her children had been cared for by their grandmother from the minute they entered this world and their mommy wanted to capture moments between them.  She wanted to freeze these moments so that they could always look back and remember how much their grandmother loved them.  What an amazing gift for these little girls… when they are older they will have these photographs that show how much they were loved by their Nana.  And an amazing gift for this amazing woman… a special tribute for all that she has done for these lovely little girls.
